enliven has taken the opportunity to respond to the needs of members and local partners as well as socio-economic evidence to expand our activities in supporting vulnerable children and youth. These include a greater relationship with Children and Family services through the Southern Metropolitan Child and Youth Area Partnership, Health and Development Steering Group (H&DSG).

Of particular note is enliven’s role in:

  • facilitating the development of a health service resource guide for carers of children in out of home care on behalf of the H&DSG
  • coordinating the delivery of “Settled and Safe” legal education in the areas of Family Law, Child Protection and Family Violence by Victoria Legal Aid to local partners
  • coordinating the development and facilitating the delivery of half day education sessions focused on Child Protection from the perspective of Child Protection, ChildFirst and the law. These sessions have been over-subscribed with waiting lists each time they are delivered. We will notify members and stakeholders regarding future sessions via our Weekly Updates.
  • establishing and facilitating a ‘round table’ for early years workers/agencies working with the Aboriginal community and Aboriginal service providers.
