As part of Responsible Gambling Awareness Week in October 2017, enliven received a grant from the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation. With this we coordinated a localised education and empowerment session for service providers and community members alike. This session was delivered by Gambler’s Help Southern and provided locally specific insights into the harms associated with gambling in south east Melbourne.
This session built on our history of working with local Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, targeting the service providers working with them as well as key community leaders. Attendees received information and translated resources about the services and supports available both for individuals and their families.
