Information Foundation House provides services to people of refugee backgrounds who have experienced torture or trauma in their country of origin, or while fleeing that country. Services include individual & family supports and referrals to other services (health services, housing services, legal services and other community support services).
Referral Type Self referral via https://foundationhouse.org.au/our-services/make-a-referral/ With client’s permission, another person such as a doctor, social worker, teacher, family member or friend may contact us on their behalf Referrals are reviewed regularly and a Foundation House staff member will endeavour to contact you within five working days of receiving the referral.
Eligibility requirement For those who: have a refugee or refugee-like background, have a history of torture and/or other traumatic events prior to arrival in Australia or an immediate family member of such a person, are experiencing psychological or psychosocial difficulties believed to be associated with their experience of torture and traumatic events and do not pose an unacceptable risk to the safety of staff or other clients
